Stax Splints are sturdy enough to protect and support the distal joint of the finger extension while permitting unrestricted movement of the proximal interphalangeal joint. Lightweight and flesh-colored, the splints are perforated and shaped for breathability and comfort, and ideal for use in multiple applications.
Normally used without padding, Stax Finger Splints are applied to the middle phalanx with a small adhesive strip which automatically elevates the distal joint to its proper extended position. If the finger becomes wet or the adhesive becomes soiled, the splint can be changed easily by the patient. In cases where the finger may be too tender, a larger splint with padding on the inside should be used until it can be replaced with a normal size Stax Finger Splint.
